I encountered this same error trying to rip another DVD. I searched and found a reference to this error in a post from about 2 years ago. It was suggested rolling back to version 1.12.2 may fix the issue. I am happy to report that this worked and I was able to rip this disc. This was with version 1....

I have to agree also. I have been using MakeMKV for a few years. I also decided it was time and just purchased a key. It was displayed on the order confirmation page in the browser, and in an email that arrived within seconds. Ripping a BD disc now as I type this.
