I have a OWC external bluray burner running via Firewire 800. It improved after several restarts of the computer and reboots of the drive.

DASPI mode has issues
Installed DASPI and 1.6.4. Lots of errors and MakeMKV beachballed while making my drive have a fit. See attached log.

It's been a physical media issue. I found the discs were dirty in most cases. My BluRay player can handle smudges pretty well the ripping software cannot. Cleaning the discs seems to have solved this problem every time.

I've seen this error on several disks, disks which were not reported to be problems. This time it was The 40 Year Old Virgin Bluray and MakeMKV quit with an internal error.
