I can only think that MakeMKV is the source of this - but open to being completely wrong.
I have been using MakeMKV to turn all my DVD's into MKV's to archive and play back via a large USB drive connected to my WD TV Live. So far I have converted well over 100 films most of them play back perfectly ...
