One last update. I flashed the BP60NB10 1.00 Hybrid firmware to my BP55EB40 SVC: EB40 running the LG BP50NB40-NB50 1.02-MK. This made the drive UHD Friendly! I couldn't be more happy! All the firmware and the ASUS flasher used i found at: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=18933.

Okay, just an update for those that might find it useful. I managed to flash the LG BP50NB40-NB50 1.02-MK to my BP55EB40 SVC: EB40. This was using the ASUS flasher, enabling LibreDrive for my drive.

But I've tried flashing with the unlocked ASUS flash tool from the thread here: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=18933 , and using the 1.01 firmware for the BP55EB40-NB50. But I suspect that it might not...

If so did you use the NB50 firmware, and how?
