Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Ok more info about this. It seems that this is another LLDV bug because I just tried a 1600nits edid (sony A95) in TV-LED and the trims are working with the 1000nits rpu test file. This bug(l2 ignored) also affects the devices (chromecast/ firetv) that do fake TV-LED. Also present on the latest ATV...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Ugoos AM6B+ with CoreELEC utilize FEL for sure.
Infamous Saving Private Ryan plays without flickering and with much-much less compression artifacts.
I would keep this device only for P7FEL mkvs

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
RESET_9999 I'd like to notice that "RPU p8.1 L1.L2_cmv29.Edited.3696" test triggers picture adjustments for all trims except probably ms_weight on ShieldTV+Bravia in LLDV mode. Not sure what ms_weight should change and where to look. Other versions of L1.L2_cmv29 doesn't work on ShieldTV ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Now, where it gets strange: Heh, true. It's interesting and confusing since as assumed TV-led should do all processing on TV side My guess is player software (internal or external) somehow doesn't pass all trims to DV engine or do so in incompatible manner. That means there is far-far more inconsis...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
True for TV-led mode only did you try again with the latest version (useless cmv4.0 metadata removed)? Maybe it was causing issues ? https://drive.google.com/file/d/18PLzRP9YdoFhnwhS5yjS0ku08CXDrQfq/view?usp=share_link and the Eagle beak L2 test with original metadata removed 1 by 1 ? https://drive...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I made some new L1 test files. LLDV (Bravia XF90) Shield TV - visible picture adjustments after 1000 nit for all versions P5/P8 old and new Zidoo Z9X - only P8 works, P5 - no adjustments (forces VS10 and Auto HDR modes tested) UBP-X700 - this one is extremely interesting! only P8 old works but with...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I don't think it has CMv4RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 2:51 pmWow, so your TV only supports LLDV but still has the newest CMV4.X version of DV.
But does it matter with Player-led mode, hm?
If player supports CMv4 it should output DV with all CMv4 processing.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
RESET_9999 I have a question regarding DoVi.Test.Files What's a difference between older L1L2 trim tests like this one (https://dropmefiles.com/xNg7P) and newer? I wonder why old one triggers picture changes with L2 on UBP-X700 in LLDV mode and newer one does not. Btw ShieldTV in LLDV mode ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@all I was testing some hdr10 patterns converted to DV and look what happen on the Shield/X700/C8 with this P8 pattern : https://slow.pics/c/tnFWN04T (there's definitely something wrong with P8/P7 DV on the shield) Re-did the FEL test files as well, hopefully, they work better on different devices....

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Anybody know if Godzilla vs Kong is MEL or FEL, in blu-ray.com forums says the info shows as FEL but is MEL? Read about other movies with the same problem...theres any 100% accurate source for that info with all DV releases?. EL with bitrate around 2 Mbps is MEL for sure I wonder does anyone tested...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
You can now generate RPU metadata in v0.4.0, see documentation: https://github.com/quietvoid/dovi_tool/blob/main/generator.md You can find it here: https://github.com/quietvoid/dovi_tool/releases/tag/0.4.0 I wonder is it possible (in theory) to generate a dynamic RPU based on data from MadVR Madmea...
