Im having the same issue with the LG burner and same case as above. Im on a mac pro with updated os ( the os was previously the last one but make mkv wasnt opening till iupdated.

How do i check the firmware?

Is it spitting the disks out cause of firmware or the os?

i have both newly gotten ... ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG WH16NS40 both are ejecting uhd right away....is this normal? I was on the understanding these two drives cold transfer data from uhd even though they aren't uhd burners...was i misinformed? could the case its in make a difference? getting frustrated...

its a LG WH16NS40 it got recommended for the makemkv has something changed? it has a Vantec NST-536S3-BK NexStar DX USB 3.0 External Enclosure for SATA Blu-Ray/CD/DVD if thats an issue?
