Using 1.8.1 and 1.8.0 I'm seeing very high memory usage of makemkvcon64.exe during bluray rips. Specifically, the title is ET. I have the same issue here.
Have tried several versions of VLC (1.02, 1.03, 1.05) all have the same problem.
File plays correctly in MPlayer Extended.
