Re: Dolby Vision

just ran into an issue with tsmuxer. It doesn't support Dolby TrueHD? When I load a video that contain that, it fail... At the bottom of this tutorial is talks about TrueHD https://codecalamity.com/encoding-uhd-4k-hdr10-videos-with-ffmpeg/ "If you also have TrueHD sound tracks, you may need to...

Re: Dolby Vision

Yes, that should work. Like said in the tutorial you don't use the RPU.bin that is created. Thank you. Quick question. Do you know how to extract the BL.hevc and EL.hevc using x265, ffmpeg ? I don't want to use the extractor provided on that forum. Edit: I think I got it ffmpeg -i my.mkv -c:v copy ...

Re: Dolby Vision

The first question i have if you can play DV from a MKV file? If yes, I would recommend to do your compression first and then assemble the files again in TSMuxer with ISO as output and only then run Makemkv to produce the MKV file. TSMuxer is freeware. Look at the last steps of this guide which was...

Don't understand...

You can backup to 1) mkv directly or 2) to folders.

Did you backup to folders?

And of course decrypt.
OK I got it.
ImgBurn is a little dated in terms of 4K discs
What are the Image Options for 4K Discs ?

The below is for blu-ray
File System: UDF
UDf Revision: 2.50

Re: Dolby Vision

Thank you for the welcome. Do I select "Decrypt video files" ? So, I see the "BDMV and CERTIFICATE" folders in the blu-ray. Do I copy those into the folder where makemkv made the back up ? Edit: I am actually very comfortable using all these softwares. I just need the proper step...

Re: Dolby Vision

How are you making the .iso in the first place ? Where MKV can recognize it ?
When I make a .iso file, mkv gives a weird error message.

I'm trying to make a workflow of Dolby Vision and making a .iso file out of Example (Midway 4K) that makemkv can recognize would be a good first step.

Thank You

Re: LINUX - ffmpeg - 4K HDR HEVC X265 - Plex

I search the forum and found this excellent post. I am doing hardware acceleration with these commands provided. Trying to encode 4K HDR HEVC, But I noticed something odd; I am using -cq as a command and no matter what value I put in, the bitrate stays the same (At around 20,000) I can lower it all ...
