Re: Bugs Bunny 80th
When I rip these discs, I am getting commentary audio on the cartoons. I see no other audio tracks on the MakeMKV rips. However, when I play it in the set-top player for the TV, I have the opportunity to play with audio commentary, or not. How Do I get the commentary audio off these files, so I may ...

Re: Stargate SG-1 Blu-ray Box Set
I am posting this, that in the hope it could save someone else hours of frustration whose running into issues with the ripping of this box-set. I have found that I eliminated all the problems I was getting in MakeMKV in my attempts to backup this box-set, (Stargate-SG1 BR), was to go back to my olde...

WH16NS14 - Reverting to official firmware before returning?
I bought 2 units, LG WH16NS40 drives that of course shipped with ver. 1.05 firmware. I followed the instructions on here for flashing them to DE_LG_WH16NS40-NS50_1.02.bin <-- Using a Windows computer. The flash went fine on both of them and I even tested a 4K rip of one of my StarWars discs. Both ra...

Re: Friends Blu Ray Collection
I can't begin to thank you enough for all that leg work you put in, it greatly helped me. But there were a lot of variances that I had to figure out. They must have rearranged many of the episodes from different printings. I just very recently bought mine off Amazon/USA, and I kept a strict log of w...

The Invaders 1967 TV Show
I am using MKV to backup my library for my Plex server. When I rip "The Invaders", there are 3 episodes on each disc, but the layout is such that there are 2 files around 1.7GB, and 2 files around 5.3 GB. The 2 smaller files are of 2 of the 3 episodes, and the other larger files have all 3...

Re: Question about Speed of DVD Ripping
There are a lot of factors that go into how fast an optical drive can read data from a disc. Modern versions of MakeMKV use built in ' speed control ' to actively slow down reading in various situations in order to increase the odds of a successful rip. That same speed control also lets MakeMKV rea...

Thank you for that reply! I am aware of the file extension part, I was more interested in knowing the _txx. aspect of it, and I guessed as much, but wasn't absolutely sure, sometimes there are more extenuating reasons that you may come upon on your own.
Cheers,
Nick

What is the purpose of MakeMKV adding the "_t00.mkv" at the end of the file created?
What is the purpose of MakeMKV adding the "_t00.mkv" (or progressively t01, t02... with multiple files from the disc as in TV episodes) at the end of the file created?
TIA
PS I tried doing a search on this in the forums here but with no luck.

Re: Directing Output to an alternative Drive?
Dear wmcclain, I tried your method about 4 months ago, but my simple mind (being new to Linux) just didn't understand how much I had to know or navigate for this. HOWEVER, today I gave it another whirl, and finally found the solution, as it is not as simple as it is in Windows. I am posting this in ...

Re: Directing Output to an alternative Drive?
That is the first place I went. However in Linux MInt 19.3, there are no other drives available to choose from, other that the system Drive.
Unless it is either more cryptic to navigate to, or not available.

[SOLVED] Directing Output to an alternative Drive?
Is there a way to direct and save the output file to an alternative Drive, other than the default system drive.
For the record:
I am using Linux Mint 19.3 Cinnamon 64bit.
Thanks in advance

Re: "automatic sdf downloading is disabled or failed" while decrypting
Is it a serious problem that I should look at fixing? I don't know what SDF is so some context would be helpful. It is still a little secret, but having this file is good for you. You can always download SDF.bin manually from https://www.makemkv.com/svq/sdf.bin and put it into MakeMKV data director...
