Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Ok, I tried this route and now x800m2 can successfully switch to DV. However, after pressing “Display”, it shows that the output resolution is only 1080p and not 4K (even though x800m2 list the source as 4K DV). When testing the original UHD, x800m2 can successfully output 4K. I’m confused on what ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I've downloaded two different 4K web-dls, one is a DV mp4 file and the other is a HDR mkv file with an added lossless track. I'm trying to use both to create a DV file with lossless audio. I use this ffmpeg command: ffmpeg -i File.mp4 -c:v copy -vbsf hevc_mp4toannexb -f hevc Out.hevc To extract the ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Trying to get Dolby Vision m2ts to play on x800m2 but running into issues. Would really appreciate some tips/help. Here is what I have tried: 1. Use MakeMKV to get Dolby Vision MKV. 2. Use eac3to to extract Atmos track(thd+ac3) from the MKV. 3. Use tsmuxeR to mux the MKV from 1) and Atmos track fro...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
did you try my Ryan Samples? UBK90 plays m2ts/ts/BluRay folder from USB only the BL HDR10 :-( no DV Did you use tsMuxeR to mux the file to m2ts/ts? In order for the x700 to play Dolby Vision files they have to be muxed using tsMuxeR. I've been using version nightly-2020-11-17--01-21-46: https://bin...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Have you checked with your HDFury device to see if the x700 is allowing TV led Dolby Vision? In the image you have attached above, Stacey says: Yes, the x700 support both DV format. My Vertex report RGB 8bit (tv-led). Thanks for confirming. :D Finally got my x700 :D Can confirm the same on my Verte...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Sorry but oppo don’t look that good to me. X700 takes it all lol. I don't think so... Vincent said he tested the Panasonic bluray player as well. Also, Stacey Spears (creator of Spears and Munsil) confirmed that all the bluray players will have this issue when doing player-led DV. https://i2.extra...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The subtitles going out of sync in Apocalypse Now Final Cut was caused by the file being damaged, eac3to log: [v01] [0:28:24] The source file seems to be damaged (sync byte missing). <WARNING> [a03] [0:28:23] The source file seems to be damaged (sync byte missing). <WARNING> [a04] [0:28:24] The sour...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
No I didn’t notice anything like that, but then again I was trying it on an x800 which would have been completely ignoring the secondary Dolby vision track. I’ll try again when I get my x700 :D I only did one quick test, but I think you may be right. As I had deleted the files I used to test before...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Did you happen to freeze frame compare the resulting m2ts file with the original movie ? As per my earlier post , I also remuxed LOTR UHD DV to m2ts file via latest tsmuxer (one for each disc), and the resulting m2ts is slightly less bright in the highlights than the original UHD disc. Both played ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I believe the furtherest we have got with the seeking issue, is that it is somehow related to the length of the file. Interestingly, different formats, whilst they don’t support DV, supposedly allow seeking to work with long duration. I haven’t got my player yet to investigate myself, but I think t...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I purchased a x700 and I watched Dolby Vision films last Friday, Saturday and Sunday :) . Last night I started to watch Apocalypse Now Final Cut and shortly after the 30minute mark the subtitles started going out of sync. I stopped the film and after restarting the player I wasn't able to fast forwa...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
I nearly purchased a Sony x700 a couple of months ago for a good price but I read that some users have had problems with high bitrate films. If only it had a USB 3 port or gigabit network capability. no problems at all when played via the USB port. Even the 60fps 4k DV FEL Atmos Gemini Man works. Y...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
I'm tempted to order a Nvidia Shield which would arrive on Tuesday but I'm worried about the colour issue. I would only be ordering it for Dolby Vision films and if the colour issue isn't fixed, the device would be useless to me. Are there any other Dolby Vision devices on the horizon? Hi, Sony x70...
