Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2022
Yeah happens all the time but before you throw it away fully turn it off completely power off your computer and unplug it or unplug the drive case if external. It's internal. :( Tried uninstalling, reinstalling, etc. It just stopped working with no system changes whatsoever. If "happens all th...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2022
I have LG WH16NS40 I downgraded to firmware 1.02 a couple of years ago and it has worked flawlessly since to rip hundreds of discs. I tried today though, and MkMkV doesn't see that a disc has been inserted. MkMkV does still identify the drive, and the correct firmware though. My system is also unabl...

Re: Star Wars The Complete Saga Blue Ray Alien Subtitles Missing
Hey Oatmeal, I'm very knew to this as well and just started making my Plex library but I also have the Star Wars The Complete Saga blue-ray collection and was wondering if you ended up keeping a record of which tracks and subtitles you used? I'm having the same iteration issue trying to find the ri...

Re: Update to 1.15.4 = "No Disc Inserted" error
probably noting makemkv did. give the pc a full shut down and turn off the powersupply or unplug it and hold the power button for 10 seconds. See if it works after that. That did it. I cold-booted into safe mode where it did see the drive, and then a normal boot-up where everything works. I had res...

Re: Update to 1.15.4 = "No Disc Inserted" error
Okay, cool, thanks for helping me narrow it down. I'll see what I can figure out there.
Is there any way that updating makemkv did it? Or, if something happened in my system when the update was applied? Everything was fine and ready to rip the title just before I did the update.

Re: Update to 1.15.4 = "No Disc Inserted" error
Hmm. No, it does not. File explorer shows that I have a BD-RE drive there, but it doesn't read the title.

Re: Update to 1.15.4 = "No Disc Inserted" error
Ok. Well, the device manager shows the name of the drive. I don't know how to make Win10 show what the title of the disc is?Billycar11 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 31, 2020 3:23 amit would show the titleoatmeal769 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 31, 2020 3:11 amYes, it sees the drive. Update to 1.15.4 = "No Disc Inserted" error
Went to rip a new disc. Inserted it, and MakeMkV read it just fine and was ready to rip. Then I saw that version 1.15.4 was available, so I closed the program, downloaded 1.15.4 and updated my software. I rebooted and made sure the registration was still active. Now it won't read the disc. It churns...

Re: Star Wars The Complete Saga Blue Ray Alien Subtitles Missing
There is a thread elsewhere in this forum telling you which track for which title. I had followed those instructions for the same exact set you're showing and it worked correctly. Really? I really looked around, must not have used the right search terms. I found one regarding the 4K releases, and B...

Re: Star Wars The Complete Saga Blue Ray Alien Subtitles Missing
With "MKVToolNIX GUI" you can simply deselect the unwanted subtitle tracks and remux the file. Bingo, that's all! Ahh, good call, thank you, I'll do that! The order is the same as in VLC, simple counting .... I hope so. I read a few other posts here which said it could be one of several, ...

Re: Star Wars The Complete Saga Blue Ray Alien Subtitles Missing
I was aware that several of the discs have no alien translations applied. I re-ripped "Episode 4" where I KNOW Han Solo's conversation with Greedo has translations applied. This time I ripped every single file, regardless of language or application. I kept messing with different selections...

Re: Star Wars The Complete Saga Blue Ray Alien Subtitles Missing
Star Wars titles are a bit of a pain when it comes to subtitles. For the "foreign audio only" or "forced" subtitles, the subtitle track number varies from 4 to 7 over the different movies. I made a list when I ripped them, but gave it to someone else when they ripped their set. ...
