Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi all Does anyone know if there is a Mac app that converts HDR10+ to Dolby Vision? Have used Nekno's "DV7 to DV8" MacOS app (as the name implies, to convert DV7 to DV8). It works well. But am trying to find something for HDR10+ to DV. Have seen Reset's DoVi scripts, but unfortunately don...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hey guys, it's been a long time I've visited this thread. About a year ago I've decided to leave/mux everything to profile 8 in mkv as this has the most compatibility on my Philips TV 65OLED934 (2019). There were times where Plex would let me play single-layer profile 7, but plex patched that out a ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So if I only can playback Single Layer P7 files, then I guess FEL won't be a thing since this will always be 10-bit, right? Yes, playback of BL only will be 10 bit. If FEL can't be processed, of course there's no need for it. Nevertheless it may be convenient to keep FEL muxed. Maybe in the near fu...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Major difference with FEL being processed is that output will be full-blown 12 bit DV. Vs 10 bit when there's no FEL. Change in dynamics and color is noticable, but I can't say I'm overwhelmed. To my eyes, having a tv calibrated yields more awe. It's much discussed how much (and if) the 2 bits real...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Still, how can I find out if the fel is processed or not? Not sure. Maybe the manual or specs provide with more info. Perhaps the tv shows meaningfull data during DV playback. A visual comparison of displays from P7 FEL source and its P8.1 counterpart could also tell you more. Any key aspects to na...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
if EL is being dropped with P7? This can raise some confusion. P7 EL carries RPU and DV playback always requires RPU. What you probably mean is, whether the additional video data FEL holds will be processed or not. From RESET_9999's device list, of the three players you mentioned CC+GTV is the only...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Does anyone know if Google TV devices support Profile 8.1? Specifically, do Sony TVs with Google TV support DoVi Profile 8.1 in an MKV container? I've tried playing it back via Plex, and it triggers DoVi, but I'm not sure how to tell whether it's just triggering DoVi like Plex on Apple TV or if it'...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hey Guys, just wanted to check in and see if I miss something here. I have a philips 65 oled 934 2019 with dv capability. I'm able to playback P5 and P8 mkv through Plex perfectly fine. However I was also able to playback P7 through Plex til version 8.12.2.22756. Going higher version stops P7 suppor...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hmmm Which option would I select from your .bat going from bdmv, or even mkv dv that's already dv, to a dv format the lg c9 can handle? from BDMV: Mode P7 (3) ---> Mode 1 (1) ---> Workflow 1 (1) from MKV P7: Mode P7 (3) ---> Mode 2 (2) ---> Workflow 2 (2) then tsmuxer nightly to mux the output file...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hey I have that too with p5 or p8 mp4. You can just drag and drop the file into mkvtoolnix and remux to mkv. It will play without stutters and the dolby vision will be kept. I usually playback those with just Player or vimu. Mkv work a lot better than mp4 TVs dont support DV MKVs. Where do you get ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I have remuxed an HEVC with ac3 to make a dv mp4 but it is stuttering on my C9.. Playing through USB port and flagged as Dolby Vision no problem, no pink video, but just extremely choppy. Stop and start. Audio is in sync too with it.. What could be some problems that have caused this? I've never ha...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Hey guys, i hope im right here. I have a philips OLED since two weeks and try to figure out how to get DV and atmos working for local files. I have downloaded the given example on page 60 or something like this but it doesnt trigger Dolby Vision at all. On Netflix it works but not with local files....

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hey guys, many of the streaming versions contain e-ac-3+atmos, which doesn‘t exists on blu-rays. Blu-rays have usually a TrueHD Atmos and an E-AC-3 tracks. Unfortunately Truhd isn‘t supported by my tv, but e-ac3+atmos plays very well and sounds better that just e-ac3 or even dts-he master audio. Is ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
What am I doing wrong? DV is not triggered when playing MKV files via Plex and Shield Pro TV: Sony 900H (supports full DV profile) HDMI3 - set to DV Plex Player: Shield Pro (2019) using latest Plex App. Hardwired to AX86U router using Cat6 via switch. Tried 2 different resolution settings - 4K 23.9...
