Pioneer BDR-XS07TS rips only with 2X

Hi folks, using makemkv 1.15.2 my shiny new Pioneer BDR-XS07TS rips a DL BR only with a constant 8.5 MByte/sec (2X). This is pretty disappointing. According to the specs it should reach 4X at least. My old LG drive BP06LU10 rips with 11.2 MByte/sec up to 20 MByte/sec (4.6X). And it has only USB 2.0....

Re: MakeMKV on FreeBSD

I'd love to see the binary package for FreeBSD. I am using Linux since kernel 0.99.x, but before I used BSD (SunOS 4.x, Ultrix). I can help polish the build procedure, if necessary.

Re: Locke on Bluray AACS V48: makemkv doesn't support v48 ye

I know makemkv is still beta, but assuming it is WIP I wonder if it would be possible to get an early access version with support for AACS_V48? Of course I would post the result.

Re: MakeMKV 1.8.8 installation fail on Debian Jessie

This avcodec stuff makes a lot of build problems. Do you think it would be possible to make this codec support optional? Up to version 1.8.4 (or 1.8.5?) makemkv could be easily compiled without problems, and it did its job perfectly.

Re: Version 1.7.8 Needs Newer glibc

I am affected by this problem, too. Platform is Debian sid, amd64. I still had the binaries of makemkv 1.7.7, but they refuse to run.

Could you please provide a compatible version?

patch to support building Debian / Ubuntu packages

For your consideration:

Attached you can find a small patch for the makefile.linux files to support building Debian packages. The changes allow installation in a temporary directory, and the "clean" target has been cleaned up.

Have fun

Just to note: The German version of Avatar can't be ripped, either.
