Re: Dump submitted: I Walked With a Zombie/The Seventh Victim UK Criterion
I appreciate the suggestion, but I after downloading a copy over the 15th October keydb file I still get volume key is unknown. ...though that being said I've never ever been able to get makemkv to read from a keydb.cfg file, ever never.

Re: Problem ripping UHD to external USB HDD?
Further testing has positively indicated that the blu-ray drive plays up and won't always read properly when the HDD is plugged into one of the other type A ports. Presumably a current related issue serving all of the ports, even though the the blu-ray drive has it's own power. I've given up on that...

Re: Problem ripping UHD to external USB HDD?
Regular Blu-ray seems to rip fine to the external HDD apparently.

Re: Problem ripping UHD to external USB HDD?
I can copy to the external HDD and rip to the internal HDD at the same time, no problem. Some NUC chipset sadness then, I guess?

Re: Problem ripping UHD to external USB HDD?
they might be sharing power Yes, a very goodpoint. Thank you. Both external, however the optical drive is a full height Pioneer in a powered OWC enclosure so that shouldn't be a problem. I can also rip fine to the internal HDD with the external HDD plugged in and online (though I guess using less e...

Problem ripping UHD to external USB HDD?
This is on Windows 10: Is it normal for makemkv to fail with internal errors if ripping a UHD to an external USB hard disc? The drive in questions passes chkdsk fine and seem perfectly writeable when copied to from Windows file manager. If I point makemkv output to the external drive then fails with...

Re: Dump submitted - Blood on Satan's Claw (UK release)
With the data directory on the preferences|general tab set to C:/Users/{username}/.Makemkv and the keydb.cfg file (that anydvd is happily using) copied into that directory, makemkv does NOT decrypt and therefore I assume it's not picking it up. If this works for some people then there's obviously so...

Re: Dump submitted - Blood on Satan's Claw (UK release)
I have an SSD C: drive for OS and apps and a HDD D: for data. I'll have a play with it again, but I don't want to end up with unecessary wear on the SSD.

Re: Dump submitted - Blood on Satan's Claw (UK release)
I have the data directory as D:/MakeMKV/Data (note it's displaying forward slashes rather than the convention windows backslashes), and I'm 100% certain that putting keydb.cfg in D:\MakeMKV\Data is not getting picked up by makemkv.

Re: Dump submitted - Blood on Satan's Claw (UK release)
Thanks for the pointer. I can't get makemkv to reference keydb directly (which I understand should be possible), but I can get the disc to decrypt by pointing anydvd at keydb as an external key file. Excellent.
