Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Yes it's easy, you have 2 options(I've tested both with my Shield Pro 2019) 1) Download ExoPlayer and playercorefactory.xml from this thread and install both in kodi. You can now play your rips with DV. 2) Download TSMuxer from this thread and remux the mkv to .ts and play with plex. #1 takes a lit...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

1. Do I need to re-rip anything? In my searching on this thread before I put my post up it seems a few months ago there was a new release of MakeMKV that was important to use for DV playback. MakeMKV 1.15.1 supported DV, but in a proprietary way that the author invented. Once the MKV spec itself wa...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Hi folks, I know I'm going to probably get blasted for this but I check around every couple months or so for updates on ripping 4K Discs with MakeMKV for playback with Dolby Vision retained on Nvidia Shield 2019 pro. I did some searching on this thread using the relevant terms but didn't come up wi...

As far as I can tell, it does not. It writes to the file as it rips and if I'm not mistaken, it should warn you if there isn't enough space.
That's what I think is happening as well. Thank you for taking the time to reply. Appreciated. Take care!

Does MakeMKV require a temp location to function?

HI folks. Thinking about putting a small SSD in my box that I use with MakeMKV but it will be a very small ssd (60GB) and I was wondering if MakeMKV uses a temp file location for building files before they are dumped to the output directory. My test that I'm doing doesn't make it appear as it does b...

Worked with Alex on getting a drive last month. I'm generally very weary of doing things like this but I went for it and I couldn't be happier. Alex was VERY easy to work with, is 100% trustworthy and reliable. If you're looking for what he provides, look no further. BIG thanks Alex!

Re: [Feature Request] Sort Options in Disc Title Selection View

So weird I found this. I never post for feature requests really but this is exactly what I came on here to do. This would be an invaluable feature.
