@ragico I can't download from your Mega link. Please give me a valid link and I will look at difference in outputs of this and latest tsMuxer version.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The files that are created by this latest version have as VUI: 0,9,16,9,2 for the Base layer 0,9,16,9,2 for the Enhancement layer. The correct profile should therefore be 7. Now I don't remember well but it seems to me that TsMuxeR currently generates files with profile 6 (but, I repeat myself, I c...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I purposely didn't use TsMuxeR because the final output wouldn't have profile 7. If my gimmick works maybe @jcdr428 can modify TsMuxeR once again to make files with profile 7 thus eliminating all those versions (04.fix, 06.fix, 08.fix) that are circulating and that only confuse ideas. Hi @yusesope,...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Ah got it, so it's not as simple as changing the DOVI values at the first occurrence (e.g. 0C 37 -> 08 37 to go from dvhe.6.06 -> dvhe.4.06) because the descriptors are also interleaved with the images during the muxing process. I do see all the multiple instances of the descriptor now when doing a...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Do you know why all ts files made by tsmuxer doesn't work whatever the DV profile when MP4 file works fine ? There was a version working on TVs, which removed the HDMV descriptors for .ts files. As already explained, I had to re-introduce the hdmv descriptors due to PGS/ac3+trueHD not working anymo...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
@jcdr428 Any reason why a simple hex edit of dv descriptors in the TS files doesn't work for changing profiles like it does for MP4s? The TS DOVI descriptor is different from the MP4 DV atom. In a MP4, there is only one single DV (dvhe or else) atom. In a TS -which main purpose is broadcasting-, th...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
And, according to the help information of Dolby’s open source mp4muxer, Profile 4 has HDR compatibility? --dv-profile <arg> = Sets the Dolby Vision profile. This option is MANDATORY for DoVi elementary stream: Valid profile values are: 4 - dvhe.04, BL codec: HEVC10; EL codec: HEVC10; BL compatibili...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
What I am worrying about is that, plex on shield uses the open source exoplayer, exoplayer does not support profile 6 for now. Exoplayer is open source, easy to push a fix to profile 6 if needed. And, according to the help information of Dolby’s open source mp4muxer, Profile 4 has HDR compatibility...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
profile 6 is out of official guarantee. shield supports profile 4,5,8 Edit: And profile 8 will also be deprecated very soon. Dolby is cutting all compatibility with HDR10 in favour of proprietary IPT colourspace. This does not mean that these profiles are "out of official guarantee". As f...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
that’s not good for me, because shield tv pro 2019 does not support DoVi Profile 6. Dovi Profile 6 has been deprecated by dolby. @badrobot It's already been confirmed that Profile 6 is working on Shield. In any case BL+EL+RPU HDR10 tracks are profile 6 according to Dolby, we just can't have tsMuxer...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@MastaG a 60 fps UHD (level 9) is most likely above the decoding capabilities of most SoCs. Better to test profile 4/6 FEL with a standard <24fps first. Edit: '64 76 63 43 01 00 08 37 20' is for level 6, for level 9 change '64 76 63 43 01 00 08 4F 20' to '64 76 63 43 01 00 0C 4F 10' : '64 76 63 43' ...
