Re: Any way to strip Dolby Vision and just mux HDR10?
I have asked previously in the main DV thread to make the layer optional, but it kept getting buried by other users being (understandably) enthusiastic about the new DV functionality. +1 from me - I don't have a DV screen, so I have neither need nor want for DV on my rips. It's just takes up extra s...

Re: VNC problem
There isn't a solution for TightVNC. It's just not built to support those features.
I'm afraid I can't link to a good guide to help you switch to another... it took me quite a while to figure it out myself, and I'm still not sure I have it 100% right.

Re: VNC problem
Which VNC application are you using on the server? I know that some are not compatible with MakeMKV, as they lack support for extensions such for Xkeyboard. I know that x11vnc and TigerVNC both work. TightVNC does not - lacks the aforementioned xkeyboard extensions. To diagnose further, try running ...

Request: Option to toggle DV layer
I've asked this before on one of the DV threads, but it got buried under all the excitement. The addition of DV ripping to MakeMKV is great for a lot of people, but I have no ability to play DV content, and thus have no interest in the format Rips on newer versions of MakeMKV are just unnecess...

Re: Planet of the Apes Trilogy Subtitle Issues
The subtitles you want aren't actually marked as forced on the disc. They are instead one of the many English tracks that are listed. This is annoyingly common for a lot of publishers....not a fault of MakeMKV. Unfortunately, there's no easy way from within MakeMKV to figure out which track you need...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Does 1.15.2 have a way of toggling whether DV data gets ripped at all? It makes rips unnecessarily bigger for those of us who don't/can't watch DV content.

Re: GUI - Long source path increases window size
Same distro - Debian. My path was of a similar length - you can see the rough size in the screenshot. However, I have also just tried this in Windows with the same result, so this does not seem to be OS specific. Just to double check we're doing the same thing here, with the long path loaded please ...

GUI - Long source path increases window size
Per the title, loading a BD file with a long source path causes the GUI window to become wide enough to accommodate showing the entire path on-screen. This can result in the window being wider than the screen resolution of the desktop. This becomes the minimum width of the GUI window, and so it is n...

Re: Bought my key & paid, haven't recieved the key yet
I'm not sure why other people are having problems. I bought a key just yesterday, and it was delivered in minutes. I got three emails from "2checkout", one of which contained the key. DarrenOrange above also had no problems. If you've received *no* emails at all from 2checkout, then the mo...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
I have nothing with DV content, so I cannot test this, but... With 3D content, there is a selectable "MVC" track you can disable. Maybe the same is available for DV? Click on the triangle next to the main title in the left menu, and expand the list of tracks within it. Is there a DV track...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Apologies if this has already been asked... this new addition to MakeMKV is great for a lot of people, but I have no ability to play DV contetn, and thus have no interest in the format. The only thing it is doing for me is making my rips unnecessarily bigger as a result. Is there any way to turn off...

Re: MakeMKV v1.15.0 no longer works over VNC
I too had this problem when upgrading. Did not work with my TightVNC installation, as TightVNC does not support Xkeyboard. However, after switching to TigerVNC (which does have support), it now works fine. EDIT: To be clear, this is not a fault with MakeMKV. But rather, with certain VNC server tools...
