Re: 12 Angry Men (KL Classics) - won't read
I'm having the same issue with the 12 Angry Men as well (specifically the Kino Lorber 4K disc). It's the only UHD disc in my library that MakeMKV just straight up won't read. I think I have the same model of drive as OP (ASUS BW-16D1HT), so I guess that might have something to do with it. If I absol...

Re: Ghost in the Shell (1995) (US)
Man, my ASUS BW-16D1HT really struggled with this disc for some reason. I have never heard my drive make such unhealthy-sounding noises before. When decrypting the disc, the drive would constantly spin up, make some audible grinding noises, and then spin back down. It kept doing this repeatedly. And...

Re: Extracting and comparing subtitle tracks?
I ended up solving the mystery by using a program called SubEdit. While not the most efficient way of going about it, I basically just opened up 2 different instances of SubEdit, and then examined the 2 different subtitle tracks side-by-side. To speed things up, I scanned the subtitles by "grou...

Extracting and comparing subtitle tracks?
I have a Blu-Ray copy of the movie "Accident Man" (2017). When I use MakeMKV to make a backup of the movie onto my computer, I notice there are a head-scratching total of 4 different English subtitle tracks. (There are obviously more languages available, but there are 4 tracks just for Eng...

Re: alexcoluzzi32@gmail.com - UHD "Friendly/Official" Drive Sales and Service (remote flashing, etc.)
Just wanted to chime in here and say thanks to Alex. I received my ASUS BW-16D1HT in the mail just a week or two ago, and have already used it to backup several UHD blu-rays and standard blu-rays alike. Everything has been working swimmingly. Also worth noting that, when I received the drive in the ...

Re: Good Time: blu-ray mpls?
I purchased this movie recently and went to make a backup with MakeMKV. I, too, was confused about which playlist is the correct one, and was also surprised to not find a definitive answer on this forum. However, I found a solution, and I think it's safe to say that 00432.mpls is the correct one. - ...
