Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Are you guys aware someone from BHD ( and some other trackers ) came up with a script to use the online WEB-DL DV layer and combine it with a UHD disk HDR10 layer? Like the movies from Disney Plus. It's DV with streaming, but HDR10 with the UHD disks. As I am typing this, I am trying to get my hand...

Re: Full Backup Playback of Dolby Vision with Oppo 203
A couple things to troubleshoot first. With the same connections, do DV discs playback in DV or also just in HDR? If not, try connecting the oppo straight to the TV to rule out an AVR issue.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So to someone who is not too in depth with the technical lingo, is it better to have a BL+RPU file playing dolby vision than a HDR movie? I think shaw mentioned that messing with dolby vision profile 7 movies and making them into 5 is a bad idea. Is it possible to make a BL+RPU profile 7? I think t...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The reason why I'm doing this is to just test the full capabilities of all my devices. On the shield, all the files I have mentioned above play perfectly on plex in dolby vision apart from the dual layer dual track .mp4 which plays in HDR. They all look v similar to the original UHD disc playback. ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I just tested out some files on LG E9 tv using the internal plex app, using the nvidia shield as my streaming server. I tested it with nobody and john wick which are FEL dolby vision movies. 1. I tried 3 different mp4 05.06 BL+RPU made with (DVDfab, yusescope 0.0.3, and yusescope alfa 0.0.4) - They...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
This is not true. LLDV is Profile 5 of the Dolby Vision specs. This Dolby profile was developed, written and added in cooperation with Sony and Microsoft. For Sony it was due to their older TVs not having the processing power to decode the full DV 8-bit RGB signal. For Microsoft, who I believe was ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi, sorry I haven't been clear: I have not a shild tv pro, I asked in a few forums about dolby vision media players and I have asked about zidoo z9x or nvidia shield tv pro recently and some guys told me z9x and nvidia shield tv pro can't reprodure completely Dolby Vision dual track. I have not det...

Re: Indiana Jones
Details matter. Please be more specific on your next post. You never even mentioned Movies Anywhere! Not only that but Paramount digital codes only work with one service. Not movies anywhere. Which I'd really wish they'd get off their high horse about that and join. Idiots. EDIT: To clarify I mean ...

There's not going to be a thread for every title out there. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, then just submit your dump and wait.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
What you are saying is can be true. Full FEL support comes from the hardware side. It can't be just implemented on a software level per docs from Dolby Labs. We need to review it and compare it side-by-side with famous FEL DV screens to make sure it does utilize the a stream for proper DV FEL playb...
