New drive arrived. Everything is working great now, so it was definitely a bad drive.

Correction. It worked for two discs, but it's back to acting flaky and steadily slowing down. Guess it's time for an RMA...

Solved the issue by using a DVD lens cleaner. Now processing fine with 6X speeds. Surprising, as it's a brand new drive. Guess manufacturers have given up on basic clean room practices.

New BW-16D1HT UHD Oddness
Bought a new Asus BW-16D1HT. Flashed it using the mk-firmware-pack-20191206, using the ASUS-BW-16D1HT-3.10-WM01601-211901041014 firmware. MakeMKV shows LibreDrive functionality, etc. is enabled as expected. Blu-Ray's convert fine and process at nearly 6X speed. I've tried multiple UHD's and most of ...
