I did some more research on this DVD. DVD Decrypter displayed VTS_05 that had PGC 1 (1:43:15) and PGC 2 (1:44:08). MediaInfo for VTS_05_0.IFO displays in General a Duration of 1 h 44 min, and a Menu #1 duration of 1 h 43 min and a Menu #2 duration of 1 h 44 min. Because 1:43:15 version is always pla...

I've tested Handbrake to convert MKV files to MP4 files. A 5GB movie will be approx. 990MB as a MP4. Handbrake will re-encode which may cause a loss of quality, which you may not notice. I've only begun ripping DVDs, so others with more experience will probably have a lot more information. Good luck!

I looked at both title files with VLC, and the credits at the end of both and titles during the movie are in English. I played the movie from the DVD using VLC and selected Spanish as the language, and it still used the 1:43:21 version.
