Re: Beta key Expired?
Just saw a few recent responses from him. Just thought the forums looked a little odd with all the spam, that's why I asked. It's been a little while since I last visited.crowfax wrote:Yes of course he is.icedtrip wrote:Same happening here. Also, what is happening to these forums with all the Spam? Is Mike still around?

Re: Price MakeMKV too high
I'll join the crowd, saying MakeMKV is not priced right. Comparing a Bluray RIP tool to the price of the Bluray doesn't make too much sense to me (disclosure, I'm a Product Manager at a large software company). For comparison, the price of a new video game is $59. The cost of making a video game is...

Re: Guide to convert PGS subtitles to idx/sub subtitles in o
Good guide, and you are correct about Plex. XBMC has PGS support in their nightlies, and VLC has it too (both using a more updated ffmpeg version with support). For Plex, I opened a ticket for this. Visit the below thread and Plex lighthouse ticket. Post a message to the forum showing you want PGS s...

Re: New VLC builds now supporting PGS subtitles
XBMC also has support for PGS subtitles. This all came out of ffmpeg adding PGS support back in Sept 09 IIRC. The slider issue with VLC exists, but is improving. The only issue I have seen with the subtitles is that the last piece displayed in a scene lingers on screen for awhile or until some other...

Re: Errors on HDDVD Rips
I'd like to throw another vote into the mix for HD-DVD. As a previous commenter said, HD-DVD is a dead format, but that makes it more important to us that still have HD-DVDs to get onto a hard drive, especially since the BD equivalent typically has no improvements over the HD-DVD versions. With the ...

Re: Subtitles and Forced Flags
Is there any player software (on Windows) out there that can directly play/display the forced subtitles in the MKV's that MakeMKV makes, without going through all the effort described in other threads? I didn't see where this was answered, but the answer is yes. The nightly builds for ffmpeg includ...

Re: OS drive access mode
My LG is doing the same thing using 1.5.2 in OS mode. It works fine in Direct Mode, albeit slow (2.4x ; It's a 6x BD drive). I enabled debugging and attached the log. It appears to keep repeating until I cancel. The LG model is being reported correctly in the log as: BD-ROM HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW GGC-H20L...
