Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Brief information. I have no Dolby vision nor Atmos but my brother does. Am not really interested in reading all 194 pages. So is there a way now to combine DV and Atmos into one single container mkv and or mp4? Would be nice to have some dedicated locked thread with information only (no discussion)...

First Man MakeMKV got stuck
https://i.imgur.com/qsL9gT0.png Have you ever witnessed something like this? Dive just stopped spinning and no more progress is being make. However decrypted backup just worked totally fine and no track (especially main track) is corrupted or anything. I already emailed the log. Just curious about ...

Re: "IT" Chapter 1 4K UHD
It's not a decryption/encryption issue. If it was one, you would've never gotten to the screen to pick out the titles. Offset errors are usually indications of a bad disc/drive. The drive is not bad. I just ripped another UHD before and still got it here. I put the other one in to see if there are ...

Re: "IT" Chapter 1 4K UHD
you are using 1.03MK? it says direct disc access mode for 4k you need libredrive on the BU40N I added some more information. Yes firmware is updated to 1.03MK I ripped some UHD before and had no problems. I just wonder what's the issue here. Doesn't really seem to be a problem with the disk itself ...

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri
My LG BU40N was 1.03 when it arrived. However I could rip a blu ray without modifying anything.
AACS version was 65.
Is this supposed to happen with official firmware?
Anyway I upgraded my drive to 1.03mk now it's libredrive enabled. therefore it was not libredrive enabled.

Re: Can't see optical drives /cdrom grayed out
OMG. I was driving nuts why it wouldn't detect my drive in makemkv but I could see it under 'My Computer' and in flash tool.

Re: Thoughts on LG BU40N
I was thinking of getting the bu40n but my laptop optical Bay is 12.7mm so it won't fit. I was looking at the enclosure linked and it looks good, but it doesn't look like it's externally powered. Don't a lot of these drives give errors on uhd discs due to power requirement issues? Well I still went...

Thoughts on LG BU40N
Hey there, I have thought a long time of getting into Bluray ripping. So finally the day came that I decided to do so. Last time I checked only uhd friendly drives were the way to go. Nowadays it seems possible to use even (some) official ones. As my computer does not have any front openings (corsai...
