Re: DVDFab/MacTheRipper Error
When ripping "Monarch of the Glen," I kept getting that unwanted message. All but two of the discs (three episodes total) seemed to rip just fine. I've been watching the episodes in the first series, which run about 50 minutes each. The discs in two of the series were in the wrong order, w...

Re: Dump Submitted - Barry Lyndon
I emailed the link to svq@makemkv.com on day 1. Unfortunately, I have never used OneDrive or Google Drive.

Re: Dump Submitted - Barry Lyndon
Yes. I tried using lower case letters and upper case letters for the file name. When I downloaded the file, it was not zipped, so there was nothing to extract as mentioned in the instruction. My current drive is a Pioneer, which replaced my original LG drive.

I have been trying to rip this 4K video for more than a week. Has anyone been able to rip it? Thanks.

Re: Fatal Error Occurred, Program Will Now Exit
Thanks for your quick response. Usually I see the notifications about a new version, but apparently missed the last one.

Fatal Error Occurred, Program Will Now Exit
Gentlemen, I received this message twice two days ago when trying to open a DVD from a company known to have quality control issues. Today, I received the same message when trying to open a blu ray disc from a trusted source. In fact, the error message appeared as soon as I clicked on the MakeMKV ic...

Re: MakeMKV not ripping since Mac 15.3.1 Update
I will think about buying another optical drive after I finish ripping the remaining disks.
I had cleaned that disk twice with denatured alcohol. I have had bad disks before, but none of the past failures were like this one.

Re: MakeMKV not ripping since Mac 15.3.1 Update
Hi, MakeMKV worked properly on one of the Season 2 disks I ripped yesterday. It also worked fine on one of the Season 4 disks that I hadn't attempted to rip yesterday. When I tried ripping the problem disk again, the name of the disk did NOT appear on my desktop. When I engage MakeMKV with this disk...

MakeMKV not ripping since Mac 15.3.1 Update
Yesterday, I started ripping the new I Love Lucy blu-ray's. At the end of the day, I updated my M-1 Mac mini's OS from Sequoia 15.3 to Sequoia 15.3.1. When I attempted to resume ripping the blu-ray's a few minutes ago, MakeMKV will not open the disk. I cleaned the blu-ray disk and tried again, but n...

Re: Downton Abbey Complete Series on Blu-ray
Hello, dcoke22, I would like to clarify one of my prior comments in case you read it as being critical of you. Specifically, when I wrote that power supply would not be my first culprit, I meant that in the following context. I couldn't understand why ripping one 50-minute episode of this show would...

Re: Downton Abbey Complete Series on Blu-ray
My drive’s power supply is 12V 3A. The Downton Abbey set includes 21 Blu ray disks of which 18 were ripped without a problem and 3 were partially ripped. Moreover, after ripping Downton Abbey, I successfully ripped a 2-hour movie from a 4K disk. Thus, a power deficiency wouldn’t be my first guess as...

Re: Downton Abbey Complete Series on Blu-ray
Hi, dcoke22, My drive, which I bought from Billy, resides in a powered case that I bought several years ago. I often watch TV while ripping longer files. What I noticed when each of the bad files was being ripped is that the light on the powered case would flash enough to draw my attention away from...

Downton Abbey Complete Series on Blu-ray
I ripped all the blu-ray disks yesterday, which required most of the day because four episodes will not rip. They are Episode 7 of Series One, Episodes 1 and 3 of Series Three, and Episode 7 of Series Four. After finishing with the blu-rays, I ripped a new 4K movie without any problems. The MakeMKV ...
