I flashed the firmware and even without rebooting the PC MakeMKV was able to recognize the disc!

DVDfab now tells me, my drive is unsupported though. Well, I'll see what I will do about that, when I need it.

Hey everyone, I think I know the answer already, but I want to make sure. I got myself the Transformers UHD Collection with all seven movies. But some of them are not recognized in my drive. It tries loading the disc (without MakeMKV or any other reader opened) and tries and tries... and then says, ...

Not if you don't have a Playstation 3. These files are firmware update files for the Playstation 3 software, most likely to update new AACS revisions into the Playstations hardware.

The program is called MakeMKV, not MakeMP4. That's not configurable.

If all six 21minutes track play without problems, I wouldn't worry. Especially on DVDs manufacturers try to confused ripping programs with complex menu structures, which can't be accessed from a normal DVD player. MakeMKV scans all structures, and sometimes these structures end in non existing track...

Maybe it's a Picture-in-Picture-track, an additional video track. Unfortunately MakeMKV cannot handle these right now, see viewtopic.php?p=125643#p125643

Nope, I just have seen this request before and I thought, such a request could be just from a single person. But now I see, that more persons seemingly need such.

Can you guys add "Load" button next to eject on the Toolbar so the disc tray can be closed from the app? Thanks. Because I really want to know why: What is the usecase of this? You have to place the disc in the tray anyway, so you also can either give the tray a slight nudge or press the ...

As much as I remember makemkvcon on Windows uses the language selection from the GUI, which you can set up in the advanced options.

I don't think there is a way (yet!) to make a selection via CLI.
