Re: Extract audio during a full disc backup?
Maybe DVDshrink would be a better tool for you then. Though it is quite old, and can't cope with some DVD copy protections.

Re: [Feature request] Ripping Blu-rays ignoring PLAYLIST folder
Using MediaInfo, even within the folder structure, the M2TS file (on the left) does not display any information about languages, on the right the mpls file does: https://i.imgur.com/KgFzKM0.png (https://i.imgur.com/KgFzKM0.png if the picture isn't shown) so in this case MediaInfo seem not to care ab...

Which streams are listed when you open the DVD with MakeMKV on the appropriate track?

Re: [Feature request] Ripping Blu-rays ignoring PLAYLIST folder
I've found a workaround on Reddit, first backing up the Blu-ray using MakeMKV, then delete the PLAYLIST folder from that backup and then use MakeMKV to rip that backup. That way, MakeMKV displays all individual episodes. And you lose all information about language and other tags of all streams (aud...

Re: m2ts files not opening
Besides, m2ts files (as much as I know) don't have any information about chapters or language tags. One should work with the corresponding playlist.

Re: Question about integrity of DVD ISOs created by MakeMKV
Once you ripped every extra video, one wouldn't really need the structure anymore, I would have thought.
I do know, that a very few DVDs place extra videos within the menu part of the disc, which MakeMKV cannot make a video from, but I have only like 1 or 2 DVDs with that.

Out of curiousity, where do one see this history in the program? For some reason I don't.

Re: RipGuard issues
To rip the discs, you could try DVD Decrypter with a low retry count (or even 0, if we assume the "damaged" bits are all just the copy protection). Though i can take quite a while. I had discs with 28000 bad sectors. DVD Decrypter even tries to analyze, if there are "protected" a...

Re: Is there a reason some 4Ks don't load menus on VLC?
Personally, on Windows, BluRay/UHD menus usually only work at all for me if I use Java 8 (or having the path to it set in the JAVA_HOME variable).

You can try to check another DVD opening mode, sometimes it helps: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=28541

Re: Archgon drive
I think, external drives do need 12 Volts, and power banks usually only give 5 Volts.
Or is it a slim drive only having USB? does it have two USB cables you would both need to use?

Re: Region 2 Blu Rays Being Read as DVDs
I've had BluRays in the past, where the Bonus Content was on a separate DVD. maybe it's your case as well? If you see a DVD logo on the disc itself, then it most certainly is a DVD.

Re: remove RegionLock permanentely?
In the old days there were RPC1 firmwares for DVD drives, which made the drive region free. But ever since the BluRay/DVD combos, I never heard of any current firmware doing so.
