Re: Two video files?

Is this a 3D movie? Then you can deselect the "3D" part so to speak.

Re: How to support x265

DVDs usually use MPEG2 for the video tracks
BluRays usually use x264 for the video tracks
UHDs usually use x265 for the video tracks

As already said you can rip the movies and transcode them via e.g. Handbrake.

Re: how to create VUK from AACS dump file?

In the keydb file there are lots of entries for UHD movies.

Though even if you have the VUK, you still need to come around the bus encryption.

Re: how to create VUK from AACS dump file?

There are things like FindVUK which (in this case) depend on DVDfab applications and users working with it.

They read the VUK from the disc and then save them onto an online database.

Re: ISO vs MKV

That might depend on what one wants to achieve. I have a NAS with like 65TB. Whenever I get a DVD or BluRay, first thing I do is create an ISO backup of the disk and put it onto the NAS. Then I go ahead and rip the ISO to get the various MKV files and transcode them with handbrake. So in the end I h...

Re: Empty VIDEO_TS folder

DVDs can have different file systems at once, like ISO 9660 and UDF: https://i.imgur.com/LieegHq.png (https://i.imgur.com/LieegHq.png if the picture doesn't load) Eventually the disk is mastered to show an empty folder in one of those file systems, eventually to fool programs like MakeMKV. As far as...

Re: Does the directoy "ANY!" make makemkvcon buggy?

I would only be okay with that, as long as the disc still has full quality. Can't say for sure, but I think, MakeMKV is looking in any directory on the disc for the MKB_RO.inf, MKV_RW.inf or Unit_Key_RO.inf and when it finds them in any directory but the AACS directory, it'll print out this warning....

Re: No Sound On The Main Movie Track

Wait... thats sounds suspiciously like you don't hear the center audio of a 5.1 audio track, because there is usually all speech located.

You should check your sound settings. Do you have a 5.1 system on your computer? If not, you should set it to Stereo in Windows sound control panel.

Re: Whats the difference between AC3 and TrueHD AC3 core tracks

I cannot give a distinctive answer. All I can add is, that I had BluRays, where there was a 5.1 DTS track as well as a 5.1 PCM track of the same language. And they also contained the same audio content. I guess, the muxers might add those tracks for being the most compatible with all kind of players.

Re: Whats the difference between AC3 and TrueHD AC3 core tracks

I was guessing that somehow MMKV can rip out 5.1 from the 7.1 and maybe thats why its called "core". But if thats correct, why show it? Every TrueHD released has to have an AC3 track already. Yes, it does take the core audio from the higher quality version. But you are incorrect to say, t...

Re: No Sound On The Main Movie Track

Does MakeMKV show any audio tracks when you open the BluRay?

Does MediaInfo show any audio tracks, when you let it examine the MKV file?
