Re: F1 The movie
Is Disc Info a part of your utility, or a separate app? I was doing it the old fashioned way of manually downloading the DB file from FindVUK and moving it into my MakeMKV folder and hoping my new disks worked. Rinse and repeat until the disks had finally been added. It's a button in my UI, yes. I ...

Re: F1 The movie
Disc Info is easiest. -Synchronize to pull the latest KeyDB with FindVUK (It does a delta pull so you're only pulling what you're missing and not the whole thing) -Disc Info That will tell you the status of your disc. Bonus points for validating unvalidated KeyDB entries while you're at it. This ca...

Re: F1 The movie
Excellent, thank you both! For submitting new dumps (I have a day 1 release waiting for me at home), do we just make a new thread for the movie or is there a dump thread that is preferred? (After making sure the dump is needed, of course).

Re: F1 The movie
The KEYDB.cfg file already contains this disk: 0x86BA6C79B9BFF8BA368FFC92C213E2090C68BAF6 = F1 (F1) | D | 2025-07-28 | ... ... Is there a way to search for disks in the database before downloading the file? When I'm waiting on a new disk to be added, I'd love to be able to just search existing entr...

Re: Write to fast drive and then move to slow drive?
It's not the ripping I'm asking about, but writing the movie files from the backup. I could have been more clear in my OP.

Re: Write to fast drive and then move to slow drive?
Thanks for the information. It definitely writes from backup much faster to my SSD than my HDD, but then I have to move it to the HDD, so I figured it probably ends up the same if I just write the file from backup to the HDD. I was not aware of how damaging the large files are to an SSD. I'll be wat...

Write to fast drive and then move to slow drive?
This question is purely academic for people smarter than me. I have a couple of super fast SSDs for normal PC operation, and then I have some slower HDDs for mass media storage. When using MakeMKV to rip a disc, does it matter if I first rip to the fast SSD and then move to its final destination on ...

Re: My drive is struggling to recognize some UHD disks
I have decided that drive is dead. Had it for a good few years and ripped loads of BD and even many UHD. It was a good drive. But I'm fairly certain it is dead now. I got it to rip a few more disks after my initial post, but now it won't recognize any disk. RIP first UHD friendly drive.

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
I have this Pioneer 209M that has LibreDrive enabled but will not recognize UHD disks. Is it possible to enable UHD with this drive? Drive Information OS device name: Q: Manufacturer: PIONEER Product: BD-RW BDR-209M Revision: 1.34 Serial number: MJDL001638WL Firmware date: 2016-04-25 Bus encryption ...

Re: My drive is struggling to recognize some UHD disks
That makes sense, and is unfortunate. Is it still true that we can't flash new pioneer drives, can only purchase older firmware versions from a few resellers on the forum?

My drive is struggling to recognize some UHD disks
I got several UHDs for Christmas and have been working my way through ripping them. It started out fine, no issues with several. Then I got to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The theatrical versions were pretty uneventful, but I'm having a really hard time ripping the extended versions. For some reas...

Re: Mandolorian Season 2 Disc 1 rip errors
This is why I used imgburn to make a protected iso. I got 4 retries in that section of the disc but was eventually able to get a good read. Just enable libredrive before making the iso with imgburn and hope it can retry through that part of the disc. P.S. that is with my pioneer drives. I had to tr...
