It's plugged into the ports on the front of the computer (I have a two-headed cable too), but I can swap things around and try plugging into the ports directly on the mainboard. I'll give that a try while I look for a large enough flash drive.

I had an external harddrive laying around that I plugged in and then tried to copy episode off, but it threw the same errors. I don't think it's an issue with dirty or scratched discs. They're brand new, no damage, and I used a lens cloth to wipe them down. Super frustrating :/
