Looks like a bad disc. Microfiber clean it and if that doesn't work, you'll need to replace the disc.
Thank you, I don't even understand how but cleaning the brand new disk with a glasses wipe magically made it work even thought there were no humanly visible marks on the disk.

Well I tried again, MakeMKV tried again, but.... MakeMKV v1.14.7 win(x64-release) started Backing up disc into folder "E:/Video/backup/THE_LAST_JEDI" Using LibreDrive mode (v05 id=96929CF53B04) Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files. Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR...

Updated to 1.14.7

I'll try again and see how far I get, I've also flashed my drive with 3.02 with libre instead of MK 3.10, will report back.

Problem solved: I updated to 1.14.7, changed from 3.10 MK firmware to DE 3.02 firmware and cleaned the disk with an alcohol wipe and magically I was able to make a backup of the disk. I just got this disk brand new yesterday, opened the box and put it straight into my drive to read it. I am getting ...
