Looks like a bad disc. Microfiber clean it and if that doesn't work, you'll need to replace the disc.

Thank you, I don't even understand how but cleaning the brand new disk with a glasses wipe magically made it work even thought there were no humanly visible marks on the disk.

I'll try again and see how far I get, I've also flashed my drive with 3.02 with libre instead of MK 3.10, will report back.

Problem solved: I updated to 1.14.7, changed from 3.10 MK firmware to DE 3.02 firmware and cleaned the disk with an alcohol wipe and magically I was able to make a backup of the disk.
