Re: Mission Impossible 3 UHD rip failed
It was worth a shot, but unfortunately I get the same errors after cleaning. I suspect it is a manufacturing defect.

Re: Mission Impossible 3 UHD rip failed
I watched the UHD disc today and it seemed almost locked up about 10 minutes into the movie. Eventually it recovered and had only one other little glitch somewhere during the credits. Anyway, I suspect that is related to MakeMKV not being able to rip this disc.

Re: No Disc Inserted – I believe my drive is dead
Thanks for all of the help here. I never could figure out how to get this drive working. I ended up picking up a drive that can read UHD from Alex here on the forum and I'm back in business.

Re: No Disc Inserted – I believe my drive is dead
Thank you again so very much for the response, @harmosciconillator! changing DNS on the MBP might not bypass the problem if the router is still using a problematic DNS server. You might need to login to your router and make the change there. You're right, I hadn't changed it at the router level. I t...

Re: No Disc Inserted – I believe my drive is dead
Thank you so much for the response, @harmosciconillator! I gave it a try (Cloud Flare DNS 1.1.1.1) and I'm not having success as of yet. I want to share some more details just in case… After changing the DNS server in my network settings on the MacBook Pro (make sure to click Apply!), I tailed the d...
