Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I don’t think it does make the file 10 bit, if you set the shield to 10 bit it won’t trigger DV, all DV capable TVs will accept a 12 bit signal and dither to the native display, the difference in file size is that bothered streams are interleaved rather than parallel I would say. IMO, what you say ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Anybody here could explain the differences in the output produced by Dual Layer (profile 7) and Single Layer (profile 5) Dolby Vision? I've tried to find technical details about it and couldn't find. The thing is: If I take a disc and remux it in Dual layer & single layer, would they look exactl...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
the file has been removed from the host site, and I didn't manage to snag it quick enough. could you reupload it when you get a chance? Of course, HERE are the codecs for MX Player. ...all I get is a message saying cleartext traffic not supported... ...was having the "Cleartext traffic not per...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
There's no guarantee on what I'm about to say, BUT, there is POTENTIALLY another Dolby Vision solution in our near future. This is 100% speculation on my part and I in NO way have ANY information that leads me to believe this is going to work. Now that my disclaimer is out of the way, the new nVidi...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
thanks, those are basically the same cmd lines I've been using, by following yusesope's instructions. my "test results" are limited, since I'm only doing DV movies with DTS audio. I first learned the DV mp4 method few months ago, but once I discovered the method only allowed for ac3 audio...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I´ve added LPCM to mp4 DL, but the video is lagging on Sony X700 (when I switch to AC3, it plays fine), any ideas please? EDIT: I fixed it by using these steps https://forum.mrmc.tv/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4171&p=25425#p25425 yep, same behavior on my end when the AC3 is the first audio. but if...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
mp4muxer_release --dv-profile 7 --input-file BL.hevc --input-file EL.hevc --output-file output.mp4 The command looks correct, if you have mp4muxer executable file in the same directory than BL.hevc en El.hevc files. What is this "release" version of mp4muxer, personnaly compiled ? Can you...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I just tried to create a Venom mux and it won't even play on my LG TV even before adding audio, after mp4muxer. I demuxed it with: ffmpeg.exe -i bluray:. -map 0:0 -c copy ./BL.hevc -map 0:1 -c copy ./EL.hevc then: mp4muxer_release --dv-profile 7 --input-file BL.hevc --input-file EL.hevc --output-fil...
