LG BU60NB10 (Replacement Drive)
I just got a replacement drive back from LG. It's the LG BU60NB10 and is on firmware version 1.02, manufatured date of 0ctober 2022. Is it possible for me to flash it or this one of the new firmware's that make it hard to update the firmware? I currently can't use it with MakeMKV.

I'm considering buying the Pioneer BDR-XD08UMB-S Slim top load USB. What is the common consensus of this drive?

Re: Disc Drive Causing Circular Scraches
I have since got a different drive. I got a more pricier LG external 4k drive. I have had it for a few months without issue.
Thanks

Re: Issues with Playback
I got it fixed. Looks like I had to redo some of the setup stuff. I'm thinking a recent Java update messed it up.
I thought there was a problem with the drive due to seeing some "disc is corrupt" in the log (multiple times). All good now.
Thanks

Issues with Playback
Wasn't sure if this is the right forum to ask this. I have the LG BP60NB10, Firmware version 1.02. I am not having issues ripping discs currently. The issue I am having is with Blu-ray playback on VLC. Playback was working fine until last week. I am getting an error from VLC saying "Disc is cor...

Re: Possible Fake DVD Set
I'm not sure if they are MOD or not. Looking at the disc and the insert, it doesn't look fake. I just thought this was odd. I bought this from a local 2nd hand store I go to. It's not a "shady" establishment. I just found the message odd.
Thanks

Possible Fake DVD Set
Curious question, I recently bought Season 1 of Chicago PD on DVD. When I started ripping in MKV I got a message saying: "It appears that you are opening the disc processed by DvdFab/MacTheRipper which is known to produce damaged VOB files. Errors may follow - please use original disc instead&q...

Re: LG BP60NB10 External Drive
I read the guide beforehand. Here is the entry I'm confused about: "BP50NB40 to > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK then to > BP60NB10 1.02MK or 1.00MK NB52 to > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK with enc > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK with bootloader/full flash > BP60NB10 1.00_HBD from Marty download/file.php?id=2143 if using ...

LG BP60NB10 External Drive
So I'm upgrading from the Archgon MD-8107S-U3-UHD external drive to an LG BP60NB10 External Drive. The reason I'm upgrading is that the Archgon was causing circular scratches on my disc's from time to time. What are people's experiences with the LG drive. Am I getting a good one or should I send it ...
