I recently tried to upgrade to 1.5.2 to extend the expiration date on makeMKV, but the new version from the download page says that it is still to old when I try to start it up. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
EDIT: I am on 64 bit Windows 7. AnyDVD is installed but currently disabled.

Re: Blu-Ray to MKV Choppy Playback
I'm experiencing the same thing. The tsmuxer workaround still works though.

Re: MakeMKV on I, Robot
I'm having the same issue with AnyDVD rips of Firefly, again BD+ protected. I'm pretty sure its an issue with MakeMKV because eac3to is able to extract the audio streams for these discs also.

Re: subtitle doesn't work, build 722 & build 778
I've been having this issue with VLC as well. Actually, the videos in general tend to be flaky on VLC. They work on Windows Media Player with CCCP codec pack, but subtitle support has always been bad in WMP so I'm not sure if its a problem with the files or not, mkvmerge recognizes the subtitle trac...

Re: MakeMKV on I, Robot
I'm pretty sure that the iso was fine. I was eventually able to extract the audio streams using eac3to and remux them into the mkv outputted by makemkv.

Re: MakeMKV on I, Robot
So the reading of the AV clips finally finished, but makeMKV was unable to read any of the audio tracks on the disc, so I have a video with no audio. Does anyone know what might cause this?

MakeMKV on I, Robot
I recently bought AnyDVD HD and used it to make an unprotected ISO for I, Robot. Now I am trying to make an MKV from it using MakeMKV. I point to the iso to open the disc and everything seems to work fine. About fifteen titles are added before it gets to the main movie title. At this point the statu...

Re: Question: before i buy a bluray drive
The file sizes tend to be in the 15-25GB range, taking anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour to rip. You can use MakeMKV on any blu ray without BD+ protection (pretty much anything not made by FOX). For BD+ you need AnyDVD for now.

Re: MKV's crash playback software
The VC-1 stuttering is a known bug in this version of the beta which should be fixed in the future. As a workaround, you can demux using tsmuxer and remux using mkvmerge. Unfortunatley, tsmuxer cannot recognize the Blu-ray format subtitles. Does anyone know a way around this limitation? As for the H...

Re: MKV playback problem
Never mind, it turns out Wedding Crashers was encoded with VC-1, so this bug has already been documented. The fix worked for me.

MKV playback problem
I've been having trouble playing back an mkv created from the Blu Ray version of Wedding Crashers made with MakeMKV. When I open the file with VLC I get a message which reads. VLC does not support the audio or video format "undf". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this. The movi...
