Is there a way that MakeMKV can convert streams and downloads to DRM-free MKV files? That would make a terrific app a Killer App!

I'm doing the same thing--it's a LOT of ripping, not to mention wear and tear on the blu-ray drive. It's too bad there isn't some way to pop in the disc, and check the 'net to see if someone else has already ripped it, and just share and share alike.

Bummer that there does not appear to be some trick to playing back the resulting files via Boxee. It looks like something like this http://www.amazon.com/iconBIT-XDS1003D- ... 005O29F1O/ will be required.

DASPI v1.3 is installed (I even RE-installed it just to be sure)
MakeMKV 1.8.0

My screenshots would have looked pretty much the same as above but I'm now back to MakeMKV v1.7.10 darwin(x86-release) and working fine.

Same here. Blu-Ray discs show up as DATA only, and won't even progress to the track selection phase.
Restored to 1.7.10 and all is well. Whew!

Just wait until you actually (try to) complete a transaction with Avangate. Boy howdy, it's a nightmare! They'll claim "Something isn't quite right. Please send your full name, physical home address, SSN, DOB, thumbprint, iris and retina scan, and DNA sample to complete your transaction." ...

I had this problem with "Vicky, Christina, Barcelona" blu-ray, and I recall it being a VC-1 problem, not a makemkv problem.

Great ideas, thanks! Now, if only I knew HOW to use such things....
