Confirmed 00900.mpls for RB version picked up yesterday.

Just rented one, and it spins up but it is not read at all. The disc feels very similar to AVA from RB, with rounded corners.

I doubt that, since then they would do that to all discs.

I did not see any resolution apart from "try a different drive". it worked in my case, since I had a spare USB slower and older drive. Newer internal one would not touch this disc even with a stick.

The older and slower drive managed to get data off the disc, though. it seems it is related with newer (faster) drives or Libredrive firmware

I tried AVA from three different RBs, with the very same effect. No way to read it, no matter what I do.

This video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlhBmIbReao, shows how to play the given BD disc, and figure out what the right sequence (right mpls file) to use in case for drives with this protection mechanism. I was able to use this method to figure out the sequence for RB disc I had.

When looking into the MPLS listing while playing the disc under PowerDVD, I can see 00429.mpls as being used (t186.mkv). I am ~20 minutes away from confirming whether it is the right stream of not. I wish there was a way to create some sort of a disc fingerprint to know what version we're dealing ...

Well, that is what the screen shows, i.e., source file name 00298.mpls, file name: title_t124.mkv, yet the resulting stream has issues (scenes are all messed up and make no chronological sense). The disc was rented at RB yesterday so something must have changed already.
