I tried this on again today, still a no go. I emailed the dump file again today and posted it here if someone else can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

UHD films affected by Cinavia
I recently discovered this is still a thing. I'm looking for a list of affected UHD discs. So far in my movies just Jason Bourne. I'm re-ripping all my UHD films to folder so I can get both DV and Atmos/TrueHD audio. Is there a list? Can we start one here.

UHD discs with Cinavia
I have been looking for a list of UHD movies that have Cinavia. I know that if I process to MKV the file will not be affected the same with MK4. Both will not pass DV or display Atmos/TrueHD correctly. So far out of my movies Jason Bourne is the only one. It would be nice to know so I can not waste ...

Re: How do you know what movies have DV
MKV with DV is all new. No support for your hardware. You should rip to folder or ISO for your Oppo. Then DV will work. I thought wow that was easy. I tried a rip a folder works an ISO rip does not. Starts out playing fine then you get a Cinavia message and the audio is muted. I ripped with Anydvd ...

How do you know what movies have DV
I recently got a Sony 77a80j and discovered none of my MKV files have DV. I do remember now the makemkv could not do DV. I jug out the box with all my originals in it and I could not find one that had a Dolby Vision logo on it. It was not until I popped a star wars in and then I was able to set up m...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I recently bought a sony 77a80j set and now I can get DV. I see none of my MKV files will display in DV, I guess I now recall that limitation at the time was no concern. Buried in this thread are there simplified steps to make new backups or is this still very much a bit complicated. Something else ...

Re: LG BD390 playback of MKV files issue...
I'm all but sure that was a problem with software players and stand alones do not have the problem. I have a processor that does not have HDMI http://bryston.com/sp2_m.html it's a good unit not worth what I paid but I have 13 years of warranty left :D A few weeks ago I thought I read a thread (can't...

Re: makemkv beta popup failure
One thing I have noticed you can't work out of a folder. You have to rip to ISO. This is certainly not correct regarding MakeMKV. MakeMKV can convert to MKV a hard drive located, legitimate, properly constructed BluRay files "package"... ok it won't work for me even on fresh rips. I open ...

Re: LG BD390 playback of MKV files issue...
TGC thanks for all the information you have been very helpful
I had one more question to ask you, I have assumed that the 7.1 analog output will be unmolested unlike the story with computer based players

Re: makemkv beta popup failure
I think this is what you want. I'm sure it has everything to do with me using BDRB file and not the original. One thing I have noticed you can't work out of a folder. You have to rip to ISO. Most of my archive is BDRB ISOs. The only one I toying with are the BD25 files that have HDaudio MakeMKV v1.4...

Re: LG BD390 playback of MKV files issue...
TGC I wonder if me working off BDrebuilder encoded movies changes any of the VC-1 issues. I also think BDRB encodes are the glitch with makeMKV and anothereac3to that I'm having but I have been having luck with demuxing with tsmuxer and mkvmerge. Files that would run in either have worked. I still p...

Re: LG BD390 playback of MKV files issue...
Thanks TGC. I'm not sure if any of my discs are VC-1they are all blu-ray M2TS I would think. My goal is to use my BDrebuilder backups converted to MKV or M2TS which ever works. I think I'm ok and will figure it all out later.

Re: LG BD390 playback of MKV files issue...
Hey Texas,
I just ordered a BD390. I kinda jumped the gun before I did all my research, I was afraid it would sell out. How has it worked for you? Can you plug a 1Tb hd into it and play 25g MKV movies? Sorry to hijack your thread

Re: makemkv beta popup failure
I want the smaller BD25 encodes. 1) MakeMKV is not going to do anything to make your BD Rebuilder files any smaller. 2) You should not post here regarding BluRays that have already been processed by another program, as there's no telling what inconsistencies may exist. 3) Have you tried simply sett...
