I used MakeMKV 1.16.7 ( win x64 ) on windows 10 to rip "A Day to Die" ( 2022 ) from a redbox bluray and I'm watching the MKV file today. MakeMKV only showed 1 movie playlist on the disk so i ripped that playlist.

I have an internal LG blu-ray drive (BU40N) & an external LG ( WH16NS40) blu-ray drive and neither drive can read the AVA blu-ray disc from Redbox.

File 00612.mpls is the main movie
File 00801.mpls is the movie with sing-a-long subtitles for the songs.

these are brand new discs from a new box, which is why I didn't think about cleaning, but while I was cleaning, I do see micro scratches on the problem sides, so I now suspect they were damaged during production or packaging.

so, I am currious, does this mean the sony bluray player somehow ...
