Re: Lost UHD support on flashed drive
@Billycar11 does it seem plausible that the optics need to be cleaned when it reads all BD and reads older UHD? To be clear it is not a situation where it needs to be re-flashed or updated if that even exists?

Re: Lost UHD support on flashed drive
There is no error message. The drive just spins and spins and eventually gives up and ejects. Never mounts the disc nor does MakeMKV ever provide an error message.

Re: Lost UHD support on flashed drive
I tried that. Both discs are brand new. I even returned them both and got new discs. Same thing.

Re: Lost UHD support on flashed drive
I just tried Avengers: Endgame 4K and it recognized it right away. So just the new ones I'm having an issue with.

Re: Lost UHD support on flashed drive
Tried that. Still doesn't recognize UHD. Works flawlessly with all BD.
Could it need to updated? or re-flashed?
I know people aren't fans of these LG drives but seems odd that it used to read UHD and works great with BD.

Lost UHD support on flashed drive
Any reason I suddenly lost the ability to read UHD on a flashed drive? Never had an issue until recently (Oppenheimer & Mission Impossible 7). And I tried multiple discs for each. Won't recognize the disc at all. Just spins and eventually ejects the disc. Drive Information Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST...

Re: Oppenheimer / MI:7 Dead Reckoning 4K not recognized
It is spinning the disc. Then it makes some weird sounds. Does this for awhile then eventually ejects the disc. I understand a brand new disc can be defective but it is happening with both my new movies Oppenheimer and MI7. Seems unlikely that both new movies are defective. Again, it plays all older...

Re: Oppenheimer / MI:7 Dead Reckoning 4K not recognized
It's a brand new disc. I just opened it. I tested all my older 4K discs and it reads them. Does the drive have to be updated somehow?

Oppenheimer / MI:7 Dead Reckoning 4K not recognized
I have a flashed BD drive WH16NS60 that successfully recognizes and rips other UHD discs but for some reason it won't recognize Oppenheimer or MI:7
Any suggestions?

Re: The Batman Bluray says its 720p
The tv is a 4K LG. It actually is pretty spot on displaying what the source truly is, 720, 1080, 2160... Why is this movie causing an issue? Never happened before. Really would like it displayed correctly. Without adjusting the tv for 1 movie. Could I compress using something other than H.264?

Re: The Batman Bluray says its 720p
On my tv it shows as 2160p. Which doesn't make sense. Also, since the black bar around the picture is smaller it appears that the entire frame isn't showing. For example the opening title where it says "The Batman" is stretched and gets cut off a little. Can I alter a setting to keep this ...

Re: The Batman Bluray says its 720p
The resolution in Plex is saying 720p.
Any way to avoid this from happening? I’ve never had it happen with any other bluray. I use very high settings for limited quality loss

Re: The Batman Bluray says its 720p
Before compression there is a lot of black around the picture. After compression very little.
