Re: Marvel's Eternals (2021)
Buy a Pioneer. I know that seems like I'm being sarcastic but I'm not. The LG drives really do suck in comparison. Especially on larger discs. The only advice I have for you on the LG is clean the disc and if that doesn't work replace the drive or disc. Thanks for the tip. Since it's intermittent a...

Re: Marvel's Eternals (2021)
Hi all, Been some time since I've posted but I'm trying to figure out why my LG drive won't rip certain UHD content. Case in point I cannot get Eternals to rip. Here's my log, if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great! Hash check failed for file 00057.m2ts at offset 260352...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2020
you didnt flash it to WH16NS60 but that does not really matter for read errors the NS60 firmware just reads faster and has no sleepbug. you have either a bad disc or bad drive. try clean disk new disc optional clean laser new drive I'm wondering if the drive is the issue. This is my third brand new...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2020
Question about drive flashing. I'm running a WH14NS40 drive. According to MakeMKV I'm already at revision 1.02, however the recommended firmware thread suggests: WH14NS40 > WH16NS60 1.02 MK I believe I used the tool correctly, but MakeMKV still shows the drive as WH14NS40 and lists Firmware type as ...

Re: Pacific Rim Uprising
I guess it's possible the disc is bad, but I'm not sure why it would rip every other file on the disc except the actual movie file. I've already flashed my disc drive and it rips every other 4k UHD except this one and the original Hellboy. Has anyone else experienced this?

Pacific Rim Uprising
I can't seem to get Pacific Rim Uprising to rip. In fact the only version of MakeMKV I've found that will even decrypt the disc is V1.15.1 but after a certain point it just stops. Any help would be appreciated. Using direct disc access mode Using LibreDrive mode (v06.2 id=10F16E86E12A) Loaded conten...

Re: Hellboy (2019) - Which Playlist?
Ok, I'm pretty sure this is the correct playlist for newer discs. I just watched the movie and it appeared completely in sync. Title information Name: Hellboy Source file name: 00631.mpls Duration: 2:01:02 Chapters count: 16 Size: 32.7 GB Segment count: 10 Segment map: 509,505,503,508,501,510,507,50...

Re: Hellboy (2019) - Which Playlist?
The studio must have made a running change to the print. I picked up a copy on Black Friday (BD/DVD/DIGITAL) and none of the playlists mentioned in the thread are on the disc. It appears the playlist should start with segment 509, but short of ripping every playlist starting with 509 I'm not sure wh...

Re: Help an idiot with a 1st gen WH14NS40
none of it is needed if your drive has/came 1.02 this whole thing is all about downgrading not upgrading. and since you also can't flash your drive i guess you have it connected with usb? but yeah if your dive sees 4k disks your good just need to figure out your other problem of locking up in the r...

Re: Help an idiot with a 1st gen WH14NS40
There was no problem flashing if your on 1.02 and your drive sees the disk pc locking up while ripping sounds like a system problem I thought I needed to use the bin file from MK-FIRMWARE-PACK -> WH14NS40-N650 and use that to get the firmware back up to 1.03. Are you saying that's not needed? I was...

Re: Help an idiot with a 1st gen WH14NS40
Thanks! I'll try running the rip again and get MakeMKV to produce a log file. Hopefully someone will be able to see what I'm not seeing or be able to instruct me on a step I missed. Two quick questions though... 1) Is it necessary to use the MK bin file for this drive, if the flash has downgraded it...

Re: Help an idiot with a 1st gen WH14NS40
Hello all! I've recently started making the jump to 4K UHD media. I have a LG WH14NS40. I spent a great deal of time reading and watching this thread to see how the process works. I went through and flashed the drive to 1.02. I see in the YT link it says to use the ASUS tool, but that throws an erro...
