But as I pointed in the previous post, can I generate a new RPU with dynamic L1, CMv4.0 and transfer L2 trims from the original RPU?
no

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Simple question but probably not a simple answer. I want to rip DV FEL files and keep FEL. Staxrip converts to 8.1 but doesn't keep FEL. I understand with Dovibaker it is possible? But although I've used Avi/Vapoursynth a lot, I'm still not really an expert at working out how to import files to the...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Wouldn't it be wrong to keep retail? The movie was mastered at 4000 nits; proven by a HDR analysis, MaxCLL: 4427 nits, MaxFALL: 2325 nits. On the other hand, Dolby Vision L1 is statically capped at 650 nits. Doesn't this mean that even if a TV hypothetically supported up to 4427 nits, using Dolby V...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I dont know, but you can always test the original and generated tone mapping with workflow 7-4 and decide which one you prefer.

@RESET_9999 given this:
Since L2 trims are not static, what is the best practice here: generating new metadata or keeping retail RPU?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I'm not quite sure what exactly causes this or what the difference looks like as I haven't really looked into it as I try to avoid Apple-sources content for said reason. Perhaps reset could can comment in little more detail on this? mostly noticeable with orangish-looking reds. https://slow.pics/c/...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

So us AM6b+ owners are now in a situation where we are blessed with 3 different current builds/paths: "OG" cpm on A15-HEVC, seemingly focusing on only full bitrate remux/lossless audio. https://github.com/cpm-code/xbmc/releases avdvplus, currently on release 5 (which is what I am running ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

They are 2 separate settings.
I use the same for both
What happens if I don't choose anything in that whitelist?
try playing 25fps content and find out if your TV switches to 50Hz instead of 25Hz

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

If I only choose the 4k options then the 1080p display mode wont be allowed to be used? If you want 1080p content to be upscaled by the TV, you must set the Kodi GUI to 1080p. The whitelist does not override this behavior; it only informs the player which display modes your TV supports. It only men...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Thanks for the tip,I installed python in the Store but unfortunately it doesn't seem to solve this problem. The source file only has one audio track, dts-hd ma, 5.1., it should be easily covertable to ddp, right? I don't know , works fine here. There might be something wrong with your rip from your...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

What exactly does that whitelist setting do?
what it does is written in the image you posted
the link you posted does not mention what should be set for this option:

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Will it affect 1080p contents?
