Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I have to try out more, but FEL DV being rendered into 12bits if I'm not mistaken isn't necessarily better then MEL. It really depends on the mastering of the movie. FEL in some movies adds nothing, but there are a few that expand the brightness much higher and TVs like the G5 benefit the most from...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Yes, the Ugoos supports every format, but the best and most stable one is MKV, of course.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
In the Ugoos DV settings. I still prefer generating DV but overall it works very well, similar to real DV or madVR DTM. It doesn’t alter the image when the content is within the TV’s capabilities. No black crush has well. see: https://youtu.be/2N6uBDmSwec

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
- resuming bluray remuxes sometimes make it go out of sync I had this issue before CPM A13-12, but since A14, this has been fixed on my end. - it seems the receiver turns off after a long period of time, by then it disappears from hdmi cec and I have to use its original remote to turn it back on. I...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
yes disable noise reduction. The rest looks good.
You can also force DV for HDR10 to avoid the posterization and banding problems on LG TVs.

it may not be the same issues I have with all my 10gbps or 2.5 switches/routers but the Ethernet port on mine sure behaves weirdly too.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
You don’t need any update, the CPM version already does everything you need.
As noted on my excel sheet, I had issues with my 10 Gbps router and switch too, the connection was stuck at 100 Mbps. I ended up buying a cheap 1 Gbps switch just for the Ugoos, and now I get a full 1 Gbps connection.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
the static metadata doesn’t matter much. The only accurate way to confirm that they’re the same grade is to measure the pixels of each video(with madvr) and, optionally, do some screenshot comparisons. Example, The.Exorcist.1973 DV P5 vs UHD-BD: https://slow.pics/c/iXzAAdeU?canvas-mode=fit-width Als...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
If there’s a Kodi add-on, then yes. Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby are only used as servers for your movie library and Kodi is what actually plays the movie on the Ugoos and you can configure your home page as you want. BTW, Plex only requires a subscription for remote streaming; local streaming is comple...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
How does the latest firmware mess up the DV black level? I read forums posts and thought only hdr10 still had problems. There's a glow, and when you use the new near black option to fix it, it crushes black but the avsforum is full of moron who use the vivid mode so it's hard to follow. On the old ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET9999 How do you like the G5 so far with the latest firmware update, compared to the C2 you own? I'm still on the old firmware, before they messed up the DV black levels, so everything looks fine on my end. I actually prefer it a lot over the C2, mainly for the better colors, but also for how ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
H.265 usually indicates a remux or WEB-DL, while x265 typically refers to an encode, but not all release groups follow this naming convention.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The script defaults to using internal/external scene cuts or madvr to generate them, so you will have to remove HDR10plus(2-2) to force madvr.
You could also use 6-2 to create the scene cuts. Rename the generated RPU the same as the mkv and run 3-1
