Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Wait, its remote is bluetooth? Will infrared remote still work on it? The reason why I ask is because I use an infrared hub to turn on/off bluray player as part of my smart home automation. it's an IR remote by default. The problem is the subtitles are usually overly bright no such issue with SRT s...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
is getting the ugoos just for cmv4.0 still worth it? Yes, its a lot better than any other device... - mkv container is more practical, you can watch makemkv p7 mkvrip without any remuxing/processing to TS. - Cropped content play properly (no grey black bars) - gigabit ethernet port - wifi 6 - no du...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Thanks for the reply. My tv is Sony A95L. How can I find out whether it is CMV4.0 or 2.9? Try this in your TV internal player: 1000nits rpu: https://drive.google.com/file/d/172cFIm6V_WTn5-YzobN_ZPoPTXsgySsi/view?usp=drive_link 4000nits rpu: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V4glXocWpTYBqNXvQKf4GO9r1...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Sorry if this is off-topic but what is the best playback using Windows on a PC ultrawide monitor? MPC-HC (or BE) + madvr(best upscaler) or Windows Energy player (support DV decoding in HDR10 or SDR) https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9p9zh5fl1bfk?amp%3Bgl=US&hl=en-us&gl=CA https://www.videoh...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I post only the ones that expand brightness in that section of the spreadsheet. Look at the other tabs below, there's one called ''screenshot comparisons'' where I do the ones that don't expand brightness.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I have a 3gbps plan but my internet speed is irrelevant. A 10gbps local network can be very useful without fast internet.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
don't worry about it if you don't have a 10gbps network/hardware.
I have two Ugoos devices and they both behave the same.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Is there a guide somewhere on how to create such DTDL mkv when I have a DTDL MP4, or even already separate BL and EL+RPU? Can this be directly done in MKVToolNix? 1- mux a DT-DL MP4 in mkvtoolnix 2- mux raw hevc layers in mkvtoolnix but this produces a dvhe.07.03 file instead of dvhe.07.06 General ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
It's supported when the 2nd layer has the dv flag (sidedata) and AFAIK, the only way to get that is by muxing a DT MP4.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
yeah I agree. Streaming services have horrible encoding quality most of the time, especially itunes and Amazon. It's never just about the bitrate, the encode settings matter big time.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi, RESET! 8) Does Ugoos AMB+ have the same LLDV bug? If it does then probably worth sticking with a CE build that supports a custom DV block in EDID. I don't know, I did not try LLDV and after years of testing, I can finally enjoy a device that does everything right(tv-led) so I don't feel like te...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Trying to understand the final verdict on this. Since we don't have the colorist to determine if overriding the generated L2 trims is appropriate, isn't the best option to still remove the trims? Or are you saying that leaving them in there seems okay since colorists often end up keeping the genera...
