This is great new in light of pioneer quitting the market, I do have a question though, on amazon I see a newer variant of the BDR-XS07UHD with a usb c port in lieu of a standard usb 3 micro port, will this be also easily flashable or should I grab one of the older versions of the BDR-XS07UHD?

The Archgon is a bu40n that is easily flashable, I've been using a bu40n for quite awhile and its great for bluray and dvd's, I only have a few double layer uhd's and it ripped them fine but apparently it doesn't like triple layer uhd's much... and it also has some issues with some dvd copy protecti...

I just installed 1.17.5 on kubuntu 23.10 and it seems like it was fixed? I haven't actually ripped it yet but its showing up now with proper channels instead of zero. I did have to rip a git master copy of ffmpeg instead of using the 6.0 release tarball because it wouldn't compile so it might be due...

I ordered one of the last BDR-XS07UHD drives from Adorama, hopefully it comes on 1.02. Should be arriving in the next few days... Would be nice to have another drive other than my BU40N and my BP50NB40...
