Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Well, I thought I had it figured out but maybe not. The .MP4 the MP4 Muxing tool someone on here made played the video fine, but the audio was all messed up. Played fine for a few seconds, then there would be glitches and stuff. Tried doing it manually, same thing. Then I downloaded a REMUX and used...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

dvhe.04.07 and dvhe.05.07 are the only "Device Capabilities" mentioned for chipset-based TVs This is right. But it simply means that a television needs to support dvhe.04.07 and dvhe.05.07 to be Dolby Vision certified. And nothing prevents a manufacturer to go further and allow his televi...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I read the Dolby carefully and i do not see where Dolby wrote that tv should not allow decoding dvhe.07. Dolby only wrote that "This table lists example devices and their capabilities specified by Dolby Vision profiles and levels strings". Do you know that some UHD Blu-ray player can deco...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

... but TVs are only supposed to support dvhe.04.07/dvhe.05.07 ... Why tv should only support single layer "Netflix DV" when they can decode dual layer DV ? Where did you see that dvhe.07 should only be decoded by UHD BD players ?? Maybe because Dolby said so? It is not so simple as profi...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

OK, I figured out the problem totally. I have no idea how LG and Vizio TVs are doing Profile 7, but TVs are only supposed to support dvhe.04.07/dvhe.05.07 while UHD BD players can do dvhe.07.06/dvhe.07.07 which is what is mentioned in this thread. When I used dv-profile 5 instead of 7, it worked per...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

You could try CloneBD. Does that work with .mkv files? I was under the impression that it required a full Blu Ray with BDMV folder structure intact and then converts it to a DV MP4, like DVDFab. You need either disc/iso/folder to use CloneBD That's what I thought. Guess I should get some full Blu-r...

Re: WANTED: Results of UHD Rips with Dolby Vision

I have no luck playing DV MP4s on my TCL TV. Any way to combine the 4K and 1080p DV layer found in these files to one stream that has DV, for example the LG DV demo files with one DV video track? Those work on my TV.

Can only play some Dolby Vision files on TCL Roku 4K TV.

I've spent the last four hours messing around with muxing MP4s from UHD Blu-ray .m2ts files and getting various other Dolby Vision sample content and none of them are playing via my TV. Some LG sample content does work, though. Does anyone know how I can get Dolby Vision content to playback locally ...
