Re: Now You See Me (2013) UK UHD
Are there any differences in the audio choices between the two? Since they have the same segment map, they're the same video. The different playlists might only show a subset of the audio choices available however. I only ripped the English audio but I don't remember seeing any differences. If the ...

Now You See Me (2013) UK UHD
I recently bought the Now You See Me trilogy box set. It's the UK release, if that matters. The Now You See Me disc has two versions of the film on disk which MakeMKV identifies (using Java) as 'main feature' and 'main feature_HDR'. ZoomIt 2026-05-27 110512.png Both are the same length, with the sam...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2026
I had a SH216 set up thanks to this forum a few years ago. It died from too much ripping, ha. I bought a BDR-212V and just now got around to getting it set up. However, I've lost most of my knowledge over that time. I tried poking around on this forum but it seems like most problems are getting fix...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2026
You asked for $80 for the flashers, but I've seen posts saying that the firmware is free and I don't need a script, I can do it myself. Thanks anyway. Firmware for many drives/models/firmware are freely available right here on the forums - do your own research as this may not apply to your models. ...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2026
Pioneers depend on the firmware currently installed... What's your drive information? I got ya, I just saw one on eBay was going to buy, but didn't want to jump until I knew. I did pass on it because its location was China, and I don't know what Tarrifs etc would look like LOL!! Nevermind the tarif...

Re: SDFtool Flasher
I suspect that you're correct. I have tried several clean UHD discs and they all behave the same way. 20 min in they start spinning intermittently as if they pausing or having trouble. The Verbatim 43888 drive does not have a separate power supply. It came with a USB C to USB A cable and a USB A to...

Re: SDFtool Flasher
I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I recently purchased a Verbatim 6888 optical drive and attempted to use the SDFtool Flasher to flash the firmware. The internal drive is the BU40N model. I have attempted to back up several of my UHD discs but they have all failed. Can anyone check my...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
It's a Pioneer drive. Post the MakeMKV drive info and libredrive info sections. Can these things be shucked and installed directly into a PC? Pretty sure they can. It should be a standard SATA drive inside. Thanks Marty. Are they: UHD ready; need flashing; or enabled by the SDF.bin update ?

Hi All, I recently purchased an ASUS_BW-16D1H-U_E116_DIDL121264WL but when I try to flash it it just says it does not have the correct drive platform. Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
Hi, very new to ripping - so please be kind and forgive my cluelessness ;-) Got this BD-Reader from Amazon. However it can't read / open any DVD/BD with makemkv. As soon as there's a disk inside and start makemkv, CPU goes through the roof and nothing else happens. I suspect i might need to flash i...

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Please don't shoot me! I am rather computer illiterate! Apologies to anyone who has a migraine from the questions I am about to ask. New drive: Verbatim 43890 USB 3.2 Issue: not reading UHD 4K discs but can see the disc title on PC- Make MKV 'hash error' occurs Make MKV drive log: Drive Information...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
PM sent. Hi all. First time poster, first time visitor, first time ripper! I have a similar spec unit to the one described in this thread (info below). I've done some reading on page 1 of this thread and don't see anything on my unit, but it looks like we can handle this in a PM. Here's my specs, T...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
I snagged a Hitachi/LG BU40N off Amazon recently to replace my defunct BH16NS55 (RIP following 7 years of service). It came with firmware version 1.05 but a quick flash to 1.03MK and I'm off to the races.
I'm glad to be back to two drives again.
