Re: Pioneer BDR-XS07TUHD drive...any other place to get?

Due to space constraints in my new place, I m using a nuc PC.
If I decide on a tray drive then I have to get another enclosure to connect to the nuc.

In MakeMKV? If not, I'm afraid I misunderstood the question. Sorry.

In AnyDVD, the option would be 'Rip Video Disc to Harddisk...'.
Oh, you are right....I misunderstood your reply.
Yes, I was able to copy the disc to my NAS using MakeMKV backup option.

Thank you, d00zah!

Re: another noob question....

So far using anydvdhd to rip to iso seems to work for me and makemkv is pretty straightforward. Is there anyway to rip UHD disc to BDMV folders or its just a copy and paste thingy? File > Backup Thanks. I dont see a Backup option under File but there is a "Burn to disc" option though

Re: UHD drives

Installed the ASUS BW-16D1HT into the Vantec enclosure today and confirmed drive was using 3.03 fw. flashed the fw to 3.02 and it was successfully converted to a friendly drive within 10 seconds! Installed the evaluation copy of AnyDvdHD and ripping Hacksaw Ridge UHD to iso now...... Next, I will us...

Mine is a 90DD0200-B20000
Manufactured date January 2019

Any idea if this can be made into a friendly drive?

Re: UHD drives

Ok you have every right to bash me and for asking silly and oft repeated questions... For Asus D1HT with 3.02 friendly fw : Makemkv and Anydvd support Can burn? Any sleep bug issue? For LGNS60 with friendly fw 1.0: Makemkv and Anydvd support Can burn? Any sleep bug issue Is my understanding correct?...

Re: UHD drives

Thanks MM
I already have the Asus which I plan to downgrade to 3.02

I was thinking of getting the official NS60 but since it can't be used with AnydvdHD without downgrading the fw then I have to shelve it

Re: UHD drives

Is the NS60 a better drive than the Asus D1HT?
Read from other forums that AsusD1HT is quite picky and more sensitive when ripping

Worst case, use makemkv to rip to mkv and then imgburn to ISO....though it's no longer a 1:1
As Marty mentioned, use MakeMKV to rip to FOLDER, then create ISO w/ ImgBurn. Still 1:1.
Ah yes....I missed that. Thanks for making me re-read Marty's earlier post

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri

Quick question Apart from ripping to mkv, can these drives with the friendly fw be used to rip uhd disc to iso? I would like to have 1:1 rips of my discs to stored on my NAS You could use other software that can rip directly to iso or you could just rip to folder using MakeMKV then use ImgBurn to c...
