Re: Make MKV not accepting new BETA key
That worked, but I noticed the key changed since yesterday so it probably works in 1.9.1 anyway now.

Same thing here. I'm on 1.9.1 and the latest March 2015 key doesn't work.

Re: HARDWARE ERROR:TRACK FOLLOWING ERROR
I've tried 2 discs and I had this issue with 1 of them. Could it be a problem with the combination of drive and disc?

HARDWARE ERROR:TRACK FOLLOWING ERROR
I'm using a Buffalo USB Blu-Ray drive with my laptop. Should I get a different one? Any recommendations? Re: Does MakeMKV alter a Blu-Ray's digital audio at all?
ac3filter is a Windows thing isn't it? I use Linux but I'm making progress. The problem seems to be letting the codec downmix to stereo with some sort of algorithm internal to it that produces bad sound.

Re: Does MakeMKV alter a Blu-Ray's digital audio at all?
I think the problem is with the downmix from 6 channels to 2. I'm trying to work it out.

Does MakeMKV alter a Blu-Ray's digital audio at all?
The audio I get from Blu-Rays ripped by MakeMKV sounds like it's been digitally altered. I don't have the same problem with DVDs ripped by MakeMKV. Is there any digital change made to the Blu-Ray audio ripped by MakeMKV whatsoever? I'm using the Linux version.

Ouch. Completely my fault. I forgot the underscore in app_Key. Sorry to waste everyone's time.

Re: Can't find .MakeMKV directory
Has anyone been able to get this to work? My evaluation period is expired and putting the new BETA key in settings.conf doesn't seem to make any difference. Do I need anything in setting.conf besides the appKey? It's the only line in my file.

Re: BETA key not working
I don't get the message about the key being removed from ~/.MakeMKV/settings.conf any more, but it still tells me my evaluation period is over and it doesn't let me rip a disc. I'm on 1.5.5. This is all I have in settings.conf: appKey = "T-o4vIHFtFMG0O4H5u0NT40YJcRLnfXk2j1O0Yiy3O6YrwbHga7kWEYay...

BETA key not working
My evaluation period expired so I tried to use the BETA key as described here:
http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic ... 1218#p4421
but makemkv says the key is expired and removes it. Can we still use makemkv without purchasing since it's in BETA?
