You're right - after a lot of fiddling I have found out how to stop the subtitles appearing so this feature would be superfluous.

I have problems with sub-titles on all my DVDs that I have ripped to mkv files. I can't get rid of them! The only solution I have found is to manually deselect the sub-titles for each track I am converting. Unless I am missing something when plating back the mkv files; would it be possible in the pr...

Actually can I add something to this. I have been ripping my Dr Who DVDs to mkv files and many of the BBC DVDs have had some of the old effects replaced with CGI ones.
